All limitations are frustrating. Sometimes more-so than others. This is a list to remind myself why it is okay that my husband and I have lots of food allergies, and sometimes it is better than okay!
- All our food is home-cooked. That means we eat healthier and cheaper than eating out.
- We know how to cook. Well – Jason knows how to cook and I know how to bake. So when we find new an interesting foods (recently: pomegranate, lemon cucumber) we know ways to attempt to prepare them.
- We have made friends who like to cook, and introduce us to new dishes (safely cooked in our own kitchen).
- “The devil you know”: I’d rather have my problems, the ones I know how to deal with, than someone else’s problems.
I’ll add more as I think of them – feel free to chime in with your positive food-allergy thoughts. :)
